(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – The PlayStation 3’s successor could finally hit the market but only after 1 key thing: The release of Microsoft’s next generation console.
Sony’s last console device was made available in late 2006.
According to a report from Gamespot.com, Sony CEO Kaz Hirai talked to The Times, speaking of when it made sense to release the PS3’s follow up.
“Why go first when your competitors can look at your specifications and come up with something better?,” Hirai said, according to the report.
Many rumors have speculated upon release dates for top console releases. Microsoft’s Xbox 360 successor is rumored to be called the “Xbox 720.”
