(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – In the war between gaming console, it seems as if Sony’s PS 4 is taking the lead, with over 1 million units sold at the end of 2013.
At the Consumer Electronics Show earlier today, Sony revealed that its next-gen console sold 4.2 million units, where Microsoft’s Xbox One had only sold 3 million consoles.
“The momentum of the PS4 system keeps getting stronger and we couldn’t be more thrilled gamers worldwide are enjoying the incredibly immersive gaming experiences along with deep social capabilities and entertainment provided by our network ,” stated Andrew House, President and Group CEO of Sony Computer Entertainment Inc.
“After a remarkable launch, we look forward to bringing even more exciting content and continuing to explore the power of the PS4 system by adding new features and services, including PlayStation Now, in 2014.”
It’s uncertain why the PS4 has gotten such staggering numbers compared to the Xbox One, it could be because it is $100 cheaper or that it was released a week earlier, but either way, these are big numbers for both Sony and Microsoft.
