(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Last month, Netflix CEO Reed Hasting announced some big changes at popular video service platform Netflix. The plans entailed a separation of the company’s streaming and DVD delivery services.
The DVD delivery service would be called Qwikster while the streaming services would remain under the name Netflix.
However, the company today announced that it would not move forward with the plan, instead deciding to stick with the old format.
A new post by Reed on the Netflix blog states, “It is clear that for many of our members two websites would make things more difficult, so we are going to keep Netflix as one place to go for streaming and DVDs.”
In the meantime, there are plenty of new videos on Netflix. In the same post, Reed commented on the addition of “hundreds of movies” to the streaming service. For more information on the matter, visit: http://blog.netflix.com/2011/10/dvds-will-be-staying-at-netflixcom.html
