(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Backup installations could become easier thanks to a new solution unveiled today by data backup company R1Soft. Called Continuous Data Protection Data Center Console, the service allows users to manage backups by viewing a dashboard.
Specifically, the service allows the administration of “up to 100 or more CDP Servers,” according to R1Soft.
Specific CDP servers include those for Windows, Linux, and data centers.
Discussing the matter in a press release, R1Soft VP David Wartell stated, “Scalability is key feature of our CDP Enterprise and Advanced Edition backup products. We know our clients are always looking to grow, and it’s important to us that we design products that can support their growth.”
“CDP Data Center is an extension of that desire. With it, we can help customers bring greater control and administrative efficiency to increasingly complex backup environments. Whether the customer has one server or 100,000 servers to backup, R1Soft CDP can meet his backup and disaster recovery needs,” Wartell continued.
Just earlier this month, R1Soft announced that Qube Managed Hosting had implemented the company’s Continuous Data Protection Solution throughout its data center infrastructure. For more information on R1Soft’s latest announcement, visit R1Soft here (r1soft.com).
