(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Popular website apps installer AMPPS has a new home: The Mac. On Thursday, creator Softaculous announced the availability of version 1.3 for the OS.
Commenting on the matter in a company press release, Softaculous COO Pulkit Gupta stated, “We are extremely excited about adding support for the MAC OS.”
“And with support for so many Web Applications, its a great tool for MAC Web Developers. We are also soon going to release the Linux version of AMPPS with some of the coolest new features,” Gupta continued.
The platform has been available via Microsoft Windows for quite some time now. As an app installer, AMPPS comes with the popular script library Softaculous.
It also includes scripting language PHP, SQL management system phpMyAdmin, server software Apache, and database manager MySQL.
AMPPS initially became available in August. As a script library, Softaculous has recently dominated the web hosting industry with more and more providers announcing the addition of the platform to their control panel services.
Meanwhile, Softaculous offers AMPPS for free and the stack has 236 apps including WordPress, Joomla, Drupal, and plenty more. For more information on AMPPS, visit: http://www.ampps.com/
