redIT to be acquired by KIO Networks

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – redIT, the emerging leader in secure, customizable managed cloud computing, connectivity and data center services, announced today that it has agreed to be acquired by KIO Networks.

By acquiring redIT, KIO Networks will be able to diversify portfolio offerings under the highest international quality standards.

“Our synergies with KIO Networks allow us to significantly expand and extend the coverage of our networks and our data centers, increasing the diversity of our ecosystem through the addition of new partners and alliances. We are confident that the integration will lead us to position ourselves as a leader in managed IT services,” said Murray Case, CEO of redIT.
Sergio Rosengaus, CEO of KIO Networks said, “We have closely observed the development and growth of redIT and realized that we share the same core fundamental values. We see the integration of the two companies is far more than the sum of clients and services. The combination of talent from both organizations will enable us to conquer larger goals than ever.”

With this transaction, KIO Networks will add redIT’s metropolitan fiber optic networks and six technology campuses to its infrastructure, expanding to a total of 12 technology campuses with 28 data centers. The redIT team of more 500 employees would also be integrated with KIO Networks, which would result in a total workforce of more than 2,000.

Under current regulations, this acquisition is subject to approval from the relevant authorities and, if cleared, will take place in the coming months. Terms of the merger were not disclosed.
