(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Sony’s PlayStation Network is getting a visual redesign, according to tech site The Register.
One new feature Sony is working on includes a live search feature which displays results before users completely type what they’re searching for.
Overall, the report says that Sony is seeking to make the network feature more images with less text.
Other revamps of the network include a new database for movies and a deals page.
It can be speculated that Sony may be carrying out the overhaul as an attempt to regain user trust in the network. The PlayStation Network experienced significant downtime after Sony detected an unauthorized breach in April.
Meanwhile, DigiTimes recently reported that the company is planning a 2012 release date for the next PlayStation console. However, when contacted by tech site CNET, a Sony spokesperson referred to the report as rumor.
