(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Video game developer Capcom on Tuesday unveiled a lot of new things regarding the highly anticipated game Resident Evil Revelations.
The game will arrive in the North American market come May 21 for consoles including the PlayStation 3, Wii U, Xbox 360 and PC. A European launch will arrive three days later (March 24).
Via residentevil.com, Capcom describes the game as follows: “The action bridges the gap between Resident Evil 4 and Resident Evil 5, unveiling new adventures for Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield. Jill and her new partner, Parker Luciani, have been sent on board a supposedly abandoned cruise ship in the Mediterranean, to search for Chris Redfield, based on his last known GPS coordinates. Far from being empty, the ship hides danger around every corner as Jill and Parker explore the confined space of the ship and must face a menacing new horror that emerges from the darkness.”
The new title also features a new playable character named Rachel, initially featured in the Nintendo 3DS version of the game (released last month in the United States). Also in the mix are new enemies such as Wall Blister and something that Capcom describes as a “surprise” via Raid Mode.
In addition to the above, Nintendo Wii U users could be in for a treat as Capcom has integrated game controls specifically suited for the console’s GamePad featuring map and weapons.
Other features, meanwhile, include additions to the Miiverse and support for Residentevil.net.
