Richard LeParmentier AKA ‘Admiral Motti’ Passes Away

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – “I find your lack of faith disturbing:” If you know who Darth Vader was addressing when he said this memorable phrase in Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope, you’re surely a sci-fi fanatic.

The answer is Admiral Motti, played by Richard LeParmentier who passed away suddenly at the age of 66 on Tuesday, according to an AP report.

In the movie, Motti is famously choked by Vader for disregarding the power of the force.

Despite his iconic cameo role in the movie, Star Wars wasn’t his only career highlight, LeParmentier also acted in other flicks including James Bond: Octopussy, Superman II and Who Framed Roger Rabbit. Watch LeParmentier’s scene in 1977’s Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope below:
