(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Rockstar Games on Thursday unveiled Grand Theft Auto Online, a gameplay mode coinciding with the launch of GTA 5.
“In Grand Theft Auto Online, you’ll have the freedom to explore alone or with friends, work cooperatively to complete missions, band together to participate in activities and ambient events, or compete in traditional game modes with the entire community, all with the personality and refined mechanics of Grand Theft Auto V,” described the developer via a blog post.
More interestingly, the company also highlighted the online gameplay in a video, showing players making friends, forming crews, tackling heists, robbing liquor stores and competing in online classic modes. Up to 16 players are possible.
Rockstar said it’d be “constantly” developing more content for the online world. However, also offered is a content creator, allowing you to design races and “death matches.”
Grand Theft Auto V will be released for both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 on September 17th.
