(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Roku has announced an updated version of its Roku Streaming Stick, a flash drive sized media stick that connects to your TV, the Wall Street Journal reports.
The $49 Wi-Fi Streaming Stick plugs into a TV’s HDMI port and supports a 1080p high-definition resolution from video and music services such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Pandora, and Spotify.
“Choose from 1,000+ channels and 31,000+ movies with more added all the time. Cast Netflix, YouTube and personal media from your smartphone or tablet to your TV,” says Roku’s website.
Roku’s device comes with a Wi-Fi remote and can be controlled via app on your smartphone so that everything you look at on your phone can be shown right on your TV with just a press of a button.
The Roku Streaming Stick can be pre-ordered from Roku’s website, but is not expected to ship until April 15th.
