(Ping! Zine Web Hosting) – A website concerning a prize to be handed down in the name of the Queen of England was recently selected to be hosted by IT provider Attenda.
Created in November, the Queen Elizabeth prize for Engineering recognizes worldwide accomplishments by those in the field of engineering.
“We needed a service provider partner we could entrust with the operational management of our website which is a key asset in the promotion and administration of this highly prestigious prize,” stated Deputy Director of the Queen Elizabeth Prize for Engineering Caroline Evans in a press release.
The website itself is qeprize.org and allows visitors to register and nominate candidates. Along with that, it features an explanation of the judging process.
The initiative’s creation was authorized by current UK Prime Minister David Cameron. Among its services, Attenda provides hosting for critical applications, services integration and data center operations. The revelation by Attenda follows an announcement last month in which the company said it had been selected for G-Cloud Framework agreements.
