While the device is sure to be a hit among some consumers – it remains to be seen how the market in its entirety reacts to the phone.
According to a report from the International Business Times on Friday, one analyst chimed in, noting the launch could potentially threaten Samsung stock.
“We can say with confidence that Samsung’s H1 2013 results will be robust given the S4 release and subsequent sell-in to the market. However, we think that – as with Apple – investors will quickly start to look beyond H1 2013. Hence any near-term strength in the stock for us is an opportunity to sell down positions,” stated Adnaan Ahmad of Berenberg Bank in an analysis report, according to Barron’s.
