(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – As hackers look towards the increasingly popular mobile market, tech maker Samsung has a plan to defend its Android-powered devices.
According to a report from the Wall Street Journal on Wednesday, the company was expected to unveil a solution that would include security software from Lookout Inc. installed on its devices.
Malware through Android has unfortunately been rising. In June, Juniper Networks found that mobile malware had experienced a staggering 614% increase between March of 2012 and March of this year.
The Wall Street Journal noted that Samsung’s solutions was based on business users “who bring their personal phone to work.”
Lookout Inc. says its security platform already protects “tens of millions of people.”
