(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Samsung Galaxy Note 4 users in Korea are experiencing issues with the device that many are referring to as the “gap gate,” in reference to the iPhone 6 “bend gate.”
According to DailyMail, an image of the device has surfaced, showing a card placed inside a gap in the device’s screen.
BGR noted that the gap is in fact supposed to be there, adding that the gap is referenced in the Note 4’s user manual.
“This gap is a necessary manufacturing feature and some minor rocking or vibration of parts may occur,” says Samsung. “Over time, friction between parts may cause this gap to expand slightly.”
Gap references are also present in the user manuals of the Galaxy Note 2 and 3.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 was launched on Friday in China and Korea, and will release in the U.S. October 23rd.
