(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Samsung’s newest factory for building displays for its smartphones and tablets will be in Vietnam, announced the tech giant on Thursday.
The new $1 billion Asian factory is said to begin construction in 2015 at the Bac Ninh province, making this the first facility in the country for Samsung.
TechTimes noted that the company is aiming to lower its production costs and the new factory will provide lower labor and manufacturing costs.
Samsung is said to be the biggest manufacturer for mobile devices in the world, with its South Korea being a major investor for the new facility. The tech giant also manufactures devices in China, Brazil, and South Korea.
