(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – After months of speculation, Samsung has finally unveiled its newest smartphone in the Galaxy S line, the S5.
Announced on Monday at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, the Galaxy S5 features a 5.1-inch HD screen with a 16-megapixel camera and a new Selective Focus feature that allows users to select a specific area and blur out the background.
Like many of the rumors suggested, the smartphone has a Finger Scanner which can be used to lock the device and make safe mobile payments.
Additionally, the Galaxy S5 is dust and water resistant, able to withstand up to 30 minutes under water.
With its new flagship device, Samsung promotes a healthy lifestyle with its personal fitness tracker, pedometer, diet and exercise records, and a built-in heart monitor.
The S5’s new design features a “glam look” with a perforated pattern on the back cover which will be available in white, black, gold, and blue.
