(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Korean tech giant, Samsung, confirmed that its new smartphone will hit stores in the next few months.
According to CNN, the Galaxy S5 will be released by April and will feature more “advanced functions” than its predecessors.
“We’ve been announcing our first flagship model in the first half of each year, around March and April, and we are still targeting for release around that time,” stated executive VP of Samsung Mobile, Lee Young Hee.
Rumors circulating about the S5 state that the device will feature eye-scanning technology, an innovative feature used to compete with Apple’s iPhone 5S fingerprint security.
“Many people are fanatical about iris recognition technology. We are studying the possibility but can’t really say whether we will have it or not on the S5,” states Lee.
