The game is based around card decks and users pull scrolls to receive special abilities.
“We’ve been wanting to release it for awhile because we want to have the same sort of development as Minecraft. We’ll release it early at a discount. With the help from our community, we’ll take the game to the next level and see what we want to do and what they expect out of the game and you can work around that,” commented Mojang co-founder Jakob Porser via Polygon’s report.
Scrolls has been anticipated for quite awhile. In June of last year, the company announced the game was entering closed alpha.
If the game proves to be half as successful as Minecraft, it’s still surely to be a big hit. Over 9 million people have purchased Minecraft to date.
