(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – An agreement between small business security provider SiteLock and web hosting company Aruba means added security options for customers of Italy’s top web hosting provider. Announced on Wednesday, the deal makes it possible for Aruba to integrate the security company’s solutions into its platform.
Specific features included in SiteLock’s offering via Aruba involve application scanning, malware protection, blacklist monitoring and more. Aruba maintains a customer base of more than 2 million according to a press release from SiteLock.
Discussing the matter, Aruba Group CEO Stefano Cecconi said the move would “increase the value” of his company’s clients “by delivering more than hosting, but a secure website environment for online businesses.
“Combining the SiteLock service and the OpenSRS wholesale platform gives us the best product on the market for our customers and the best reseller feature set for our business,” commented Cecconi. Aruba Group provides more than just web hosting. Other services from the company include online advertising, application housing and more.
Meanwhile, SiteLock Executive VP of Business Development Tom Serani expressed enthusiasm, referring to the hosting company as “the perfect match for our Internet security products.” Included in SiteLock’s service plans are reputation management, business validation, expert support and more. Earlier this year in March, the company revealed a similar deal with Dutch hosting provider Hostnet.
