(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Skype, Microsoft’s free voice and video service, has officially announced the worldwide availability of Skype for Outlook.com.
Skype for Outlook lets users easily go from a chat or email to a video call in an instant, without ever having to leave Outlook’s inbox.
“We know that face to face conversation brings people closer together, and we are excited to make richer and more engaging connections possible,” says a blog post from Skype.
During the preview version, many users had issues with calls continuing to ring after pick-up while on the Outlook plugin. This issue has been resolved in the new version, and should run smoothly.
Users can now connect with more people through the new service because Skype for Outlook officially supports HD video calling or PC users and Mac support for Safari.
