Skype Integration Arrives for Outlook.com Users in U.S.

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Following a bad case of downtime, there now appears to be some great news in the still very young world of Outlook.com, Microsoft’s browser-based email client.

On Monday, the company announced that a preview version of Skype had arrived with integration for Outlook.com in the U.S. market.

“The Skype for Outlook.com preview makes it easy to connect with your Skype friends right from your Outlook.com inbox. Now staying in touch a snap – with email, calling, video calling and instant message all in one place,” explained Microsoft’s Pierre-Eric Jacoupy via the Skype blog.

Microsoft is still looking for feedback regarding the integration. Meanwhile, the preview version will continue its worldwide rollout in the “coming weeks.”

Outlook.com launched last year as a replacement for Hotmail.com.
