(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – A professor’s testimony via Skype took center stage recently at the trial of George Zimmerman – the Florida man facing a second-degree murder charge in the shooting death of teenager Trayvon Martin.
According to a report from NBC News, Scott Pleasents, a Seminole State College professor was attempting to testify via Skype when Zimmerman defense attorney Mark O’Mara’s account kept receiving incoming calls nonstop.
“There’s now a really good chance that we’re being toyed with, just so you know,” commented O’Mara. Pleasents was testifying on a class taken by Zimmerman. The judge in the case, meanwhile, asked for the testimony to occur over phone instead.
