(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Ever since the release of Snapchat, people have used the photo sharing, quickly deleting app for fun and pleasure. Posting everything from risqué selfies to some of the most mundane photos that you never want to see in the first place. But what about taking a photo selfie with someone you just murdered? Maxwell Marion Morton did just that and never thought that a friend would capture the photo and show it to his mother. That is what happened to Morton and police now have that photo as evidence to arrest him with first-degree murder.
The photo depicted the victim sitting in a chair with a gunshot wound to the face, along with 16 year-old Morton posing in front of him. Morton was even clever enough to put his name “Maxwell” across the top.
With enough evidence to search the home of Morton in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, police found a 9mm handgun under the basement steps and a shell casing in the victim’s bedroom. Morton confessed to killing 16 year-old classmate Ryan Mangan afterwards.
