The platform itself is notable for allowing users to run scripting languages and database management systems including PHP, MySQL and more. Featured as well is the ability to install 260 applications provided for by Softaculous.
The highlight of AMPPS version 1.7 appears to be added auto update functionality. “We are extremely excited about the one click update feature for AMPPS which will help users to get the updates easily,” commented AMPPS Senior Developer Ketan Shah in press release regarding the matter.
Along with the auto update feature, other new inclusions pertain to the latest versions of phpMyAdmin, MySQL, MongoDB and the Softaculous auto installer.
The unveiling of AMPPS 1.7 follows the platform’s previous release (1.6) in late February. In the recent past, Softaculous has gained considerable popularity within the web hosting community.
