(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – SoftLayer Technologies, the innovation leader in Cloud, Dedicated, and Managed hosting, today announced it was named to the 2011 Inc. 500|5000 list for the second year in a row. SoftLayer ranked 277th overall, 21st in the IT Services industry, and 5th in the Dallas area.
“We’re honored to be named on the 500|5000 list again this year, and we’re proud to be recognized among the leading enterprises that drive the U.S. economy,” said George Karidis, Chief Strategy Officer for SoftLayer. “SoftLayer has seen massive revenue growth over the last year, and that trend is set to continue into the future.”
Each year, Inc. Magazine releases its 500|5000 List, which ranks the fastest-growing, private companies in the U.S. The list results are based on the percentage of revenue growth from 2007 to 2010. To qualify, companies must be based in the United States and have earned a minimum revenue of $100,000 in 2007 and a minimum revenue of $2 million in 2010.
SoftLayer growth is greatly attributed to its vast set of customizable solutions—from dedicated servers to managed hosting and cloud computing—meeting the myriad Internet and data needs of enterprises around the country and the world. The U.S.-based company expects to be included in next year’s list as the company expands its portfolio of innovative services and extends its operations overseas.
