(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Today is the day, the day that many gamers have been waiting months for, the release of the PlayStation4.
If you were one of the lucky gamers who managed to actually score a PS4 today, we hope you’re getting to enjoy it because there have been many reports that users are experiencing connection issues with the new console.
Sony’s support page states that the PlayStation Network is currently offline “due to extremely high volume” and some users “may experience intermittent connection issues.”
GameSpot wrote that users who are unable to download the day one update can update it directly through the console by manually installing the update on a USB drive from PlayStation’s website.
If you are currently looking for a retailer that isn’t sold out of the console, you can check certain retailer’s websites under store locater to see if they are in stock. And if not, call your local stores and see if they are available, it can’t hurt!
Visit Sony’s support page for up to date information about the PS4 network.
