(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Sony is struggling to keep up with surprisingly high demand for its new slim handheld device, the PS Vita.
According to a report from Polygon, the company has seen increased global demands for the device, which is why it is hard to find in stores such as Amazon, Best Buy, Wal-Mart, and GameStop.
“We’re seeing healthy consumer demand for PS Vita globally, particularly in markets like Japan,” said a Sony representative. “The U.S. launch of the slimmer and lighter PS Vita has generated strong interest among gamers, and we’re working to replenish supply here to ensure continued momentum leading into the holidays.”
The PS Vita Wi-Fi model was released in May as part of the Borderlands 2 Limited Edition Bundle.
