(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Following China’s 14-year ban on video game consoles, Sony has announced plans to bring its next-gen console to the country.
According to Engadget, Sony has partnered with Shanghai Oriental Pearl Culture Development to bring the PS4 to users in China, though a date has yet to be announced.
This partnership will reportedly form two companies, Sony Computer Entertainment (Shanghai) that will handle non-hardware sales and Shanghai Oriental Pearl Sony Computer Entertainment Culture Development.
Sony’s news comes a month after Microsoft announced that it would bring the Xbox One to China in September.
