Sprint Announces Unlimited Cloud Storage Plan for Only $4.99 A Month (Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – As a way to compete with mobile rivals Verizon and AT&T, Sprint is offering a new unlimited service, cloud storage.

Earlier today, Verizon announced its partnership with Cloud Engines, a cloud storage company that offers unlimited storage for $5 a month, reports The Verge.

“Everything that Sprint offers is unlimited, and we mapped into that very well in terms of providing unlimited cloud [storage],” stated Cloud Engines CEO, Daniel Putterman.

Powered by Pogoplug, Sprint will offer 5GB of free storage for customers, with an option of unlimited storage for $4.99.

The service is available on Android and iOS, and allows users to move files, videos, music, and pictures onto Sprint’s servers.

This partnership is unique, Sprint is currently the only mobile carrier offering unlimited storage.
