(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – The mobile price war continues, with Sprint offering to cut AT&T and Verizon customers bills in half if they switch their service over to Sprint.
Beginning December 5th, customers can sign up for the Cut Your Bill in Half Event, which will continue on through the holiday season, says the company via press release.
Here’s how it works. Upload a copy of your current bill on to Sprint’s event website then bring in a physical copy to any Sprint store where a representative will select a plan that most closely relates to your current plan, which Sprint will cut the bill in half. Users can purchase a new phone with the company’s leasing options, installment billing, or pay full price for the device.
“The Cut Your Bill in Half Event clearly demonstrates that Sprint delivers the best value in wireless,” says Sprint CEO Marcelo Claure. “It’s as simple as this: Bring Sprint your Verizon or AT&T bill along with your phone and we’ll cut your rate plan in half. That’s a 50 percent savings on your rate plan every month. And this great deal is not just a promotion. This will be the customer’s ongoing price.”
The mobile giant notes that they will also pay up to $350 per line to buy users out of their current Verizon and AT&T contracts.
