(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – The first release of Starcraft 2 was launched all the way back in 2010 (Wings of Liberty), and as you probably know, the game was always meant to be a trilogy with each expansion focusing one unique Starcraft race whether it be Terran, Zerg or Protoss.
Just earlier this week, Blizzard launched the second in the trilogy, Heart of the Swarm.
Blizzard describes the game as follows via the battle.net page: “Heart of the Swarm continues the story of StarCraft II: the conflict between the humanoid terrans, the ravenous zerg, and the psionic protoss. As these races struggle, the specter of alien gods threatens to sweep aside what fragile stability still exists in the galaxy.”
The plot centers around Sarah Kerrigan, a Terran character once infected as the Zerg Queen of Blades (She previously was restored to human by what’s described as an “ancient artifact”). However, you’ll find Kerrigan back in action, reassembling her Zerg masses in a conflict with her former flame, Jim Raynor.
Play through the campaign and you’re sure to have fun. It maintains Starcraft’s classic feel all while introducing a fascinatingly new story. Heart of the Swarm will set buyers back $39.99. Watch the trailer below:
