State of Decay Moves Out of Early Access, Arrives for Steam(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – State of Decay developer Undead Labs on Tuesday officially moved away from its Early Access PC version, unveiling the game’s official PC release through Steam.

Those who previously purchased Early Access don’t need to re-purchase the new version.

State of Decay’s official launch for Steam delivers keyboard and mouse integration that was not previously available.

“Thanks for all the feedback, the bug reports, the save files, the DXDIAGs, and more, Early Access players.  You rock. Your technical chops and thoughtful feedback made an enormous difference,” the company stated via a blog post on its website.

Meanwhile, the developer is already planning to release the new PC build’s first patch a few weeks from today – adding things such a changes for mouse acceleration and “full key remapping,” among other updates.

Also in the works is the Breakdown DLC, a release that will occur in the near future for both Xbox and PC.

State of Decay was initially made available via XBLA (Xbox Live Arcade) in June. Since then, the game has sold more than one million copies for both PC and console.
