Super Smash Bros. Nintendo Direct Set To Go Live On April 8th, Release Date Announcement Possible (Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Nintendo Direct’s upcoming announcement scheduled for April 8th will focus solely on Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS.

So far there have been 24 confirmed playable characters in Nintendo’s upcoming game, including well known characters like Sonic, Mario, Diddy Kong, Princess Peach, and Pikachu.

Recent news has revealed that Pokemon X and Y’s character, Dedenne, would be making its way to Nintendo’s popular fighting game, as well as a new move from Luigi, the Poltergust vacuum.

Additionally, a new stage based on Polemon X and Y’s Lumiose City is set to be added, the Prism Tower.

Nintendo has yet to announce a release date for the game other than that it is slated to come out sometime in 2014. Hopefully an official date will be unveiled in the announcement this week.

Nintendo Direct’s broadcast is scheduled for April 8th at 3 p.m. PT and can be viewed live here.
