(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Nintendo has finally announced the release date for the highly anticipated Wii U version of its popular fighting game, Super Smash Bros.
According to a press release from Nintendo, the game will hit shelves on November 21st alongside the debut of the company’s amiibo figurines.
“Nintendo’s holiday software lineup is more than impressive, and out amiibo figures start a new chapter in the world of Nintendo interactive entertainment. With so many great experiences available, this holiday season is going to be an amazing time to be a Nintendo fan,” said Nintendo’s executive vice president Scott Moffitt.
Twelve characters will be released next month for the amiibo figures, including Mario, Princess Peach, Donkey Kong, and Kirby. Each figure will be priced at $12.99.
Players can purchase Super Smash Bros. next month for $59.99 or for $99.99 in the GameCube bundle which includes the Wii U game and a GameCube controller.
