(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – T-Mobile appears to be bolstering its 4G connectivity in anticipation of making the iPhone available through its mobile offerings sometime next year.
On Monday, the company announced it had increased the communications standard in areas including Seattle, Minneapolis and Atlanta.
“With these upgrades, customers who live in or are planning holiday visits to Atlanta, Seattle and Minneapolis, will now benefit from voice and data enhancements, improved signal strength and in-building coverage,” stated T-Mobile USA CTO Neville Ray in a blog post.
Ray went so far as to push the idea of AT&T customers using unlocked devices on T-Mobile’s network, noting they could save money.
T-Mobile also claimed that an unlocked iPhone 4S running on its 4G network receives 70% faster downloads compared to one working through AT&T.
The mobile company previously announced it would be partnering with Apple for product availability just earlier this month.
