(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Photoshopping errors are becoming more common in magazine and ads, adding more scrutiny from customers who claim companies are portraying unreasonable body images to society.
The latest error in the fashion industry comes from popular retailer Target, who recently released a swimsuit ad as part of its junior’s line, an ad that targets young girls.
This ad features a model whose lower body has been clearly been altered to depict more of a thigh gap. If you look closely her arms and hipbones have also been photoshopped, jagged edges are seen across her body.
The pictures have since been taken off of Target’s website.
“It was an unfortunate error on our part and we apologize,” toldTarget spokesman Evan Miller to ABCNews.. “We removed the image from the site and we’re working to get a new image up there.”
Below is one of the images from Target’s photoshop fail.
