(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Good news for Apple TV owners: Both Time Warner Cable and Apple are said to be nearing a deal to integrate the cable operator’s channels with the popular digital media receiver, according to Bloomberg.
Meanwhile, Pete Distad, formerly of Hulu, is expected to join the Cupertino, California company to help Apple negotiate with cable providers for future agreements.
Apple’s TV box retails for just $99 and could help strengthen the product amid rising competition in the digital receiver market.
The move could be announced within a few months, Bloomberg noted. More details to follow.
