(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Time Warner Cable experienced a nationwide Internet outage earlier this week, causing thousands of customers to be without Internet for a couple of hours.
The outages began around 4 a.m. PT on Wednesday morning, with the company stating that they were “working to restore services to all areas as quickly as possible.”
In a response to CNET, the telecom company stated that at “430 am ET this morning during our routine network maintenance, an issue with our Internet backbone created disruption with our Internet and On Demand services. As of 6 am ET services were largely restored as updates continue to bring all customers back online.”
Cable TV and phone services were not affected by the outage.
