(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – Tired of all the telemarketing calls? Perhaps Google has the answer. According to reports, the company recently implemented a new type of spam filter into its Google Voice service that can automatically detect unwelcome calls.
Automatically pushing the calls into a spam folder, the service’s detection is based off of using a wide arrange of data from other users within Google Voice’s network.
Despite the service’s introduction, spam detection with Google Voice is something that is not necessarily new. A previous feature allows Google Voice users to manually label calls spam. However, the new feature is said to be more automatic.
Users of the service can manually enable the new feature via their calls tab in settings. The web-based calling service was launched by Google in 2009.
