Titanfall Confirmed for March 11 Xbox One Launch(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment and game publisher EA on Tuesday announced that the Mecha shooter game would hit retail shelves on March 11, 2014.

The highly anticipated title is the first release from Respawn, a company founded by Call of Duty franchise veterans Jason West and Vince Zampella.

“Since we revealed the game in June we’ve been absolutely blown away by the reaction to Titanfall,” stated Zampella in a press release cross-posted on MajorNeslon.com “The feedback we’re getting from fans around the world is fueling our team as we head towards March and motivating us to deliver an experience that lives up to the hype.”

Titanfall lets players play in dual roles, converting between maneuvering the heavily armored mechas and playing as ground-based elite assault pilots.

Meanwhile, aside from the standard version, Respawn is launching a Collector’s Edition of the game – something that includes an “18” hand-crafted titan statue with diorama and battery-powered LED lighting” in addition to an art book and a schematic poster.
