(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – The Assassin’s Creed franchise is reportedly in development for two new console games for 2014.
According to IGN, Ubisoft Sofia producer, Momchil Valentinov Gindyanov, said it’s “definitely a possibility” that multiple titles are being developed in the new year.
Development is said to be for current consoles, Xbox 360 and PS3, and for next-gen platforms, Xbox One and PS4.
Additionally, sources say that the franchise is experiencing a “massive re-scope.”
On January 14th, Assassin’s Creed Liberation HD will be launched on the PlayStation Network, which is supposed to improve on the Vita experience.
“Our objective was simple,” states Gindyanov ,“[to] improve upon what worked on the Vita and adapt the gameplay and missions to be the most fun and enjoyable they could be. As a result, each mission has been reworked to improve its pacing, and the challenge it poses to the player.”
