Ubuntu 13.04 Arrives for the Open Source World

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Debian Linux-based operating system Ubuntu experienced it latest release with version 13.04 recently.

As an open source operating system, Ubuntu emphasizes benefits including speed, security and compatibility.

So what’s new with the latest version? According to a report from PC Perspective, new inclusions are as follows: new pre-installed apps, a revamped Linux kernel, updated server software stacks, a new Unity desktop environment and more.

Developer Canonical maintains the OS is used by 20 million on a per day basis. Those interested can run it alongside current operating systems including Windows and Mac OS X.
