(Ping! Zine Web Hosting Magazine) – More data center leasing options should soon be available in the UK. Data center provider Digital Realty Trust recently revealed its purchase of a redevelopment site that covers 130 thousand square feet just outside of London, England. The facility appears to have plenty of potential as Digital Realty Trust states its ability to support eight megawatts.
Commenting on the matter in a press release, company CEO Michael F. Foust said, “With our existing facilities nearly fully leased, this acquisition provides us with additional inventory to meet customer demand in London, a key market for financial services, corporate enterprise, telecommunication network providers, large system integrators and managed services companies.”
Meanwhile, Digital Realty Trust already has a presence in the UK market, including other facilities in the London area.
The news follows Digital Realty Trust’s announcement last month that they had acquired land in Sydney, Australia. The data center provider has various facilities worldwide, providing companies with data center solutions. For more information on the acquisition, visit: http://investor.digitalrealtytrust.com/phoenix.zhtml?c=182279&p=irol-newsArticle&ID=1597301&highlight=
