(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Apple enthusiasts worldwide are highly anticipating Apple’s next generation iPhone. Likely to be called the iPhone 5, the Cupertino, California-based company is expected to roll out the new device at a company event next Wednesday.
Teasing the release, Apple sent out an invitation for the product debut. An image features “12” in bold representing the event’s date. Meanwhile, a shadow from the number casts “5” on the ground, obviously representing the fifth major release of the popular smartphone.
And if the anticipation wasn’t killing you already, here’s a spoiler alert: A YouTube video shows the purported device alongside a previous iPhone as both phones boot up. While similar in design, the iPhone 5’s screen is drastically larger, representing a previously reported size of around 5 inches.
The dock connector on the new iPhone is notably smaller, matching previous reports as well. Apple launched the previous version of the iPhone (the 4S) in October of last year.
