(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Popular video-creating app Vine recently detailed new features for the iPhone – a move made in the wake up Instagram’s debut of video functionality.
New to the Twitter-owned app are 15 channels with categories in areas such as music, nature and comedy.
“Revining,” meanwhile, allows users to tap on videos to share others’ posts.
The revamp also features new camera tools with new options such as grid, focus along with ghost tools.
In addition to that, more privacy is afforded. “Most Vine posts are public, which means they can be viewed, discovered and shared by anyone on Vine. If you want more control over who can see your posts, you can now protect your posts, which means only the people you approve to follow you can see them. And of course, if you choose to share one of your protected posts to Twitter or Facebook, then it will also be viewable on the web,” explained Vine via its blog post.
Vine CTO Colin Kroll referred to the news as the app’s “biggest, most exciting update yet.” For full details of the changes, you can view Vine’s blog post here (Vine.co).
