(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Not surprising, but Twitter-backed video sharing service Vine has suffered since Instagram debuted its own video feature.
According to a report from the BBC on Friday, statistics from Topsy showed a fall of almost half-a-million Vine shares on social networks just one day after the Instagram move.
In addition to the above, Instagram links increased by 300,000 while the following week, 50% more Instagram posts had appeared on social networks.
It’s pretty much been a role reversal. The hype surrounding Vine seems to be winding down for the time being. You can view Topsy’s stats here (analytics.topsy.com). Meanwhile, Vine could sometime soon announce new features, helping it fight back against the Facebook-backed app (Instagram).
