What’s Up with Android 4.2.2?

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Android version 4.2.2 is quietly receiving a rollout for such devices as the Nexus 4, 7 and 10 – but is it really worth it? According to a report from PCMag.com, the OS doesn’t feature many new things. The report also describes the update as a “non-starter.”

So what’s included in the new Android release? According to PCMag.com, the new version includes pretty irrelevant things such as “longer notification vibrations,” revised quick settings, new sound notifications along with other minor things.

The story also noted the availability of 4.2.2 is very limited with most Android-based users still unable to use it.

Android 4.2 Jelly Bean first began rolling out late last year.
