(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Many Google and tablet enthusiasts are wondering, “When can I receive my Google Nexus 7 tablet?” Good question. While the device recently unveiled by the Internet search giant in collaboration with Asus has been highly anticipated, an actual retail release date remains unknown.
That’s not to say people aren’t already getting their hands on the tablet that goes for just $199 at its cheapest. The company has been working to mail out the device for those who ordered through Google Play where it’s currently available.
“We’ve had incredible demand for our new Nexus 7 tablet and are shipping them as quickly as possible,” contended the company recently via a support page.
If you ordered the 8GB version of the device through July the 13th in countries including the US and Canada, you’re in luck. Your order should have been already shipped. In the UK, that version of the tablet will go out by the 20th.
And if you’re waiting on the 16GB version and happened to order it through July 11th, the company noted that it would ship all those in the United States by the end of today. If you happened to order it after that, hold tight, it’ll take a bit longer. For those in the UK waiting on the 16GB tablet, orders made through June 30th are expected to ship by 20th.
From the land down under? Google said both tablet version orders would “be fulfilled” by the time of the 19th’s conclusion. The Google Nexus 7 tablet was unveiled by the company during last month’s annual I/O conference. Industry analysts have commonly noted it as a competitor to Amazon’s Kindle Fire due to similar pricing.
While at its cheapest, it may come with a price tag of just under $200 (8GB version), but the 16GB Nexus 7 is set at $249.00. A report from Examiner.com noted that Wal-Mart had removed an estimated shipping date of July 25th or a day later from its website, instead leaving the section blank.
