Wii U Not Catching a ‘Madden 25’ TD Pass from EA

(Ping! Zine Web Tech Magazine) – Wii U owners and Madden fans will surely be disheartened by this news: No, the latest release of Madden will not be made available for Nintendo’s gaming console.

The move (or should we say, non-move?) was confirmed by an EA Sports representative.

“We will not be releasing a Wii U version of Madden NFL in 2013. However, we have a strong partnership with Nintendo and will continue to evaluate opportunities for delivering additional Madden NFL products for Nintendo fans in the future,” stated the game developer, according to NintendoWorldReport.com.

Ouch! Last year’s Madden 13 (the one featuring Lions wideout Calvin Johnson on the cover) was made available for both the Wii and Wii U – something that unfortunately won’t be happening this year.

Available instead for the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, Madden 25 is expected to arrive in stores on August 27.
